CAREER BACKGROUND
I started out very young in my career at ‘the Bay’ in the men’s dress shirt and tie department. Those were the days when the store was staffed to offer and encouraged great customer service, and it gave me great pleasure to help my customers co-ordinate their business attire. I had wonderful experience from when I was a child, which prepared me for this job. My dad (who had 4 daughters, by the way – so he had much to endure) often tried to sneak out the door for work unnoticed in the morning, so as to avoid our critical review of his colour co-ordination for the day (constructive criticism, of course!) It was while I was working in the men’s department that I discovered Display Design. I loved it – so I completed a 2 year programme in Art in Merchandising and, after much persistence, talked my way into the Display Dept at the Bay. After working in this department for some time I decided to combine my love for fashion (specifically sewing) and design, and enrolled in a Fashion Design course. I lived and breathed Fashion Design – until I started my family. Whilst working at getting my degree in Child Rearing and becoming a Home Management Specialist, I also assisted my husband run his small growing business from home and ran my own small company in the craft industry, at the same time. Since then, I enjoyed working in the Credit Union for a number of years – before I joined the Priority Team. Wow! When I joined this amazing team, I had no idea what kind of a ride it would be.

Firstly, it would be the people. Secondly, it would be the company’s vision for excellence and professionalism. It also offers me chance for growth and development.

SUPER POWER I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE AND WHY
I guess it would be more an ability than a super power that I would most like to have. I would like to have the ability to care more for the poor and the needy, the suffering. There’s a lot of need in the world.
FAVOURITE GUILTY PLEASURE
The lattes made with organic coffee Wayne provides in the office. Also, dark chocolate. Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm………..

God, family, friends.

Serving and pleasing my Best Friend, the Son of God, my Saviour and my Lord, the Author and Perfector of my faith, the Lord Jesus Christ.
